The Japanese are loosing out on their quality. I owned a toyota in Malaysia. The service sucks so bad that the service centre cant even get my car fixed for the past 3 years. It looks like the Japanese no longer care about their quality and standards. Thats why all this is appening.

This is purely political. The US is being protectionate to boost American cars sales. And anyway, didn’t anybody hear of a brake pedal.

It’s not looking good for Toyota. Bad enough in the UK but I hear that sales have been hit even worse stateside. Ca’n't believe they didn’t pick this up in tests. Someone should be shot.

This has blown up to such a mess. If the Gov’t really did have to force Toyota to stop selling them (5 days after the recall) that is just sad.

I am also anxious to see what Toyota makes a priority to fix: the cars they will build to sell or the potentially dangerous ones that have been sold & are on the road …
