Subaru STI Legacy B4 to compete in Japanese GT300

2010 Subaru Legacy B4

If this Nihon Car’s story is in fact true, the STI crew at Subaru is planning to launch a modified Legacy B4 sedan for Japan’s Super GT series. The rumor comes as a surprise after Subaru’s recent anouncement that it’ll be scrapping their World Rally Championship program.

I dont have many details but the Legacy would have to compete in the second tier GT300 series – not the top-tier GT500 series. While the GT300 series is made up of lightly tuned cars from “Porsche GT3s and race-prepped Ferraris and Lamborghinis” … private team Cusco won a race last year with a GT300-spec Impreza.
