Google Maps Street View Japan

Bowing to privacy concerns in Japan, Google has announced it’ll reshoot all of Japan for its online Street View map option.

The invasion of privacy claim has Google lowering the cameras on its vehicles by 40 centimetres. Maybe it’s time to ditch the cars and take to a tricycle powered privacy buster instead?

Greece has already banned Google Street View. Greece’s Data Protection Authority (DPA) banned Google from gathering any more images until the company provides additional privacy safeguards.
