Brace yourself for this: Nissan’s apprently working, or atleast thinking of working, on a convertible version of the Murano crossover. Sources inside Nissan have told Inside Line the droptop will arrive at dealers before summer 2010.

The 2011 Murano convertible will be made in limited run for empty-nesters looking for fun trips with the grandkids. Like the 370Z convertible, it’ll come equipped with a soft top to keep cost in line and maximize storage space. The car will also be a tad bit shorter in length with two doors instead of four. Think of this as Nissan’s take on the PT Cruiser convertible.
