Compact Hatch from Lexus: A Hybrid

Top Gear‘s putting the rumors aside to confirm that Lexus is planning to unveil a new BMW 1-Series and Audi A3 competitior at September’s Frankfurt Motor Show.

The five-door sports hatch will likely emerge as a Euro-only, hybrid-only model to woo the tree huggers and hippies that make up today’s easily impressed auto “journalists”. The hatch will be based on the Prius platform and likely wont have to do much to impress Lexus decision makers.
