Nissan 370Z Hybrid - 2011

Rumors aren’t to be trusted, but they sure are interesting! According to 370Z.com, reports out of Japan are hinting that Nissan’s thinking about going green for the 2011 370Z. By green I mean hybrid. That’s right, a hybrid 370Z!

Since it’s just a rumor, all I can do is speculate about a lithium ion battery derived from Nissan’s partnership with NEC and likely very similar to the one they used on the Cube EV. The electric drive motor will work alongside the internal combustion engine to get an impressive, but imaginary, 35 MPG in combined use.
