2010 Nissan Patrol going to production?

Remember these? The photos of what we all predicted to be the next generation Nissan Patrol? Well it looks like the car’s hitting the production floor in December 2009. That’s almost a full year after the photo were taken during an in-house product viewing for Nissan’s bigwigs in the Middle East.

While the Nissan Patrol isn’t available in North America, it’s a big seller in Africa, Australia and the Middle East where the truck’s offroad capabilities outshine that of crossover pretenders. The Patrol’s main target competitor is the Toyota Land Cruiser.

The new 2010 Patrol is rumored to get a V8 as well as a new 3.0L V6 Diesel co-developed with the help of Renault. The 3.0L longitudinally-mounted diesel engine is expected to have around 265hp and 405lb.-ft of torque

    well i am glad the patrol finally has decent engines and hopefully a 6 or 7 speed auto. To cut costs the Gu needs the V6 diesel and 6 speed manual as a base same fr ute then the new body should only be luxury as TI. will do well down under

    if it has IFS its a fake dont destroy a legend because you want to bring it to the states. every one in the states wants a patrol but not a IFS petrol (gas) peice of tin.

    i have a 91 dx 4.2l strait diesel done over 5oo.000 km, did not buy new one,cos 3L is a joke.bring back the 4.2 td add twin turbo. the new one is nice but wheres the spare wheel,put a 200L fuel tank.6 speed manual and u have a complete truck. that will overtake toyota crap.
