Honda has announced Takeo Fukui, the current president and chief executive, will step down in June and make way for Takanobu Ito. Ito, 55, an engineer with American experience gets the bump up as part of a wider management reshuffle at Honda.
Honda’s manufacturing division in Alabama has named Nobuyuki Sanui as its new president, replacing Hiroshi Sasamoto which will go on to become CEO of Honda’s manufacturing operations in Ontario, Canada.

Altho he seems likely to bring excitement to the brand (as he worked on the NSX) but it is pretty clear Honda/Acura will not make any such moves until market conditions improve … hopefully when they do, he will make the next NSX mid-engined & RWD, just like the original.
