New Honda City

We’ve already seen spy pictures of a disguised Honda City, but AutoCar India has gone a step further by featuring a digital reconstruction of the next generation Honda City. The render does a very good job in transforming the sloppy spy shots into something more car-like and recognizable. If these renders represent what the actual and final Honda City will look like, then I must commend the Honda gang for producing a stunning micro car. The design philosophy fits in with the space-age FCX concept, but with more a European touch. What’s unique about the new City is that much of it’s praise also belongs to Honda’s local subsidiary in India and beyond (Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Phillipines) which have been paramount in preparing the car for driving conditions in the developing world, an environment where Honda has had great success selling Honda Citys.

    I am a fellow PakWheels.com member. :)

    I did not like the previous generation of City BUT considering this computer aided model, it seems, the future would not be ordinary.

    It looks stunning… (y)

    Why is Honda all of a sudden letting these Pakis take over their cars? Send the testing back home where real scientists are.

    @ JC;
    You talk like Jeremy Clarkson.. oh wait.. lol! :P

    - I do not think they would continue the iDSI. I heard about an iVTEC 1.3L 100hp motor. Only time or a spy would tell. :D

    This car should really do well. There is no IDSI as confirmed and it will have only Vtec power.

    Cheers

    Are you sure Honda city 1st launched in Pakistan. Which generation & year are you refer to?????

  • 17

    Kahn // Jul 17, 2008 at 12:06 pm

    Rochee - Thanks for bringing that up. The City has been around since the 80s in Japan, Europe and Australia. The car stopped being built for a few years and was relaunched in 1996 with the third generation. Asian countries like Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand were the first to get the car. Pakistan got their first City in 1997.
